Northwell Health Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Program seeks a Pulmonary Hypertension Physician at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, NY. Fellowship training and Board Certification in Pulmonary Medicine, as well as training or clinical work in Pulmonary Hypertension, is required.

Qualifications:

• Completed an ACGME-accredited residency and be board certified.
• Outstanding administrative, communication and management skills and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital administrative leadership, and residents.
• Must possess recent experience in generally accepted and currently used methods and techniques.

Northwell Health Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Program started in the 1980s and has grown to over 125 dedicated full-time physicians throughout the system. Our programs are nationally and internationally recognized for expertise in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, and we boast innovative clinical research. We have specialized centers for interventional pulmonology, pulmonary hypertension, advanced lung disease, cystic fibrosis, non-CF bronchiectasis, asthma, lung transplant, interstitial lung disease and sleep medicine.

This role would incorporate a leadership opportunity at the Lung Institute in the Eastern Region. The Northwell Health Lung Institute, which was established to improve lung health in the community through prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research and education, has Pulmonary Hypertension as one of the established Centers of Excellence within the Lung Institute.

South Shore University Hospital, formerly known as Southside Hospital, is a 341-bed tertiary care hospital that is a major referral center for Suffolk County, Long Island. Centers of excellence include cardiology and cardiac surgery, neurosciences, women's health and pulmonary. It has multiple specialty ICUs including medical, surgical, cardiothoracic and neuro. There are multiple residency programs within the hospital as well including internal medicine, surgery, ER and OB/Gyn.
