Primary Care Physician, Medical Doctor
A Physician group in Rio Grande, NJ is seeking a Family Practice Physician for a locum or locum-to-perm opportunity. This role is fully outpatient with no call, no inpatient duties, and no ED backup, offering a steady daytime schedule in a primary care setting. The position is open due to a provider departure and requires strong outpatient adult medicine skills.
Dates / ScheduleCoverage Dates: January/February ongoing
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
No call, no inpatient, no ED coverage
Estimated Credentialing: 90 days
Practice Setting: Primary Care / Family Medicine
EMR: Cerner
Provide adult outpatient primary care
Interpret EKGs
Perform disability exams (occupational medicine)
No supervision responsibilities
Work in a Level II facility environment
Must be local; travel reimbursement limited to mileage at IRS standard rate
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine required
Active New Jersey medical license preferred (may be obtained before start)
BLS certification required
Experience in adult outpatient care required
Proficiency in EKG interpretation required
Experience performing disability exams preferred
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
Background in primary care/outpatient clinic setting preferred
Ability to meet all credentialing and licensing requirements
