Headache Specialist – UC Irvine Department Of Neurology – Orange/Irvine, CA
The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine seeks a board-certified or board‑eligible physician to lead the development of a comprehensive Headache Program at UC Irvine Medical Center. This full‑time faculty position offers an exciting opportunity to build and shape a specialized program within a dynamic academic medical center.
Responsibilities- Build and advance the comprehensive headache program and outpatient headache clinic within UCI Neurology.
- Provide patient care, academic involvement, patient and staff education, and research activities.
- Participate in specialty and interdisciplinary clinics at the University campus in Irvine and other UCI Health locations.
- Collaborate with a comprehensive neurosciences center, delivering excellent patient care to patients, their families, and the community.
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree with active board certification or eligibility in Neurology and fellowship training in headache.
- Strong experience in caring for patients with headache and a demonstrated commitment to patient care.
- Experience in building a clinical trials program is preferred.
- Excellent teaching skills and a dedication to teaching and/or clinical research.
- Active involvement in international, national, and/or regional professional societies is preferred.
- Mention of inclusive excellence work in research, teaching, or service is highly desirable.
