Headache Specialist – Maine Health Neurology – Scarborough, ME

Full‑time board certified or eligible Neurologist with fellowship training or special interest in Headache to serve as Headache Program Director.

• Provide outpatient patient care for refractory headache patients.
• Oversee and teach neurology residents and APPs in evaluation and management of headache disorders.
• Participate in on‑site MRI and neurodiagnostic lab oversight.
• Engage in research via the Maine Health Institute for Research, with protected time through a dedicated academic pathway program.
• Assist with inpatient neurology consult service during daytime coverage four to five weeks per year.
• Provide after‑hours phone call coverage as part of the neurohospitalist team.
• Teach neurology residents, fellows from other departments, and medical students.

• Board certified or eligible Neurologist.
• Fellowship training or demonstrated special interest in Headache.
• Experience with outpatient headache management.
• Ability to teach and mentor residents and APPs.

• Well‑established Neurology Department with 35+ sub‑specialty trained adult and pediatric neurologists, neurohospitalists, and Advanced Practice Professionals.
• Robust clinical and administrative support team, including onsite pharmacist, social worker, neuropsychologists and psychometricians.
• Access to on‑site MRI and neurodiagnostic lab.
