Associate Pastor Youth Grace Bible Church of Mt. Laurel, NJ

Responsibilities

The role of the Associate Pastor for Youth Ministry is to administer to the faith needs of the congregation and community of Grace Bible Church. The primary focus of this position will be oversight of ministries related to youth and children while also assisting the Lead Pastor in the functions and duties related to discipleship, teaching, and administrative oversight. This is a full-time position.

• Youth Ministry
  • Creating an innovative atmosphere while overseeing youth meetings
  • Meeting with youth for relationship building and discipleship
  • Planning Youth outings and special trips throughout the year
  • Developing relationships with parents and assisting them in the spiritual development of their children
  • Oversight of the Wednesday Night Live children’s program
  • Oversight of the VBS program
  • Teaching the Jr/Sr High School Sunday School class

• Faithfully attend and participate in GBC Worship Services
• Teach and Preach on a regular basis (approx. once every 8 weeks)
• Lead services in absence of the Lead Pastor
• Assist in pastoral care of church members and responsibilities of visitation
• Attend and participate in regular pastoral and elder meetings and other meetings as needed
• Assist in church training, perform counseling, and other pastoral duties as needed
• Learn from and work alongside of the Lead Pastor, performing any other duties as needed

• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.
• Agreement with the Statement of Faith of Grace Bible Church
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (willingness to pursue Master’s level ministry education also preferred)
• Several years of Youth Ministry experience
• Open to ordination through local pastoral council (if not previously ordained)
• Music leading ability a plus

Grace Bible Church is an independent Bible teaching church located in the suburban community of Mount Laurel, NJ. The congregation at Grace is an intergenerational family that desires to glorify God through their worship and the teaching of God’s Word and to show the love of Christ to all.
