Join the The Goddard School as an Infant Room Assistant Teacher in Swedesboro, NJ. You will support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs, managing the classroom, and ensuring a safe, stimulating environment.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (no nights or weekends).

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age‑appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean, inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children, fostering a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children.
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements.

Salary: $12.50 – $16.50 per hour.
