Position Summary: The Next Gen Pastor is the champion of creating inspiring environments and spiritual pathways for the next generation to fulfill the ZCC mission to inspire people to find and follow Jesus.

• Recruitment, supervision, training and ongoing development of Student Ministry volunteers.
• Partnering with parents in equipping students to find and follow Jesus.
• Oversee Kids Director and their area of ministry.
• Active participation as a member of the Pastor/Director Team.
• Provides strategic organizational leadership with systems and processes.

• Produce large group gatherings and small group discipleship pathways.
• Promotes, schedules and administrates Student Ministries and special events.
• Develops annual budget, goals and a plan for implementation.
• Maintain the highest level of security and safety for students and children.
• Oversees use of student environments to ensure quality and excellence.
• Stay on the cutting edge of ministry to students and families.

• Oversight of social media and website updates.
• Oversight of the baptism ministry.
• Oversight of the say “YES” to Jesus team.

• A leader who can attract and develop high capacity leaders.
• Driven and motivated self starter with a strong work ethic and follow through.
• A team player who collaborates well with others.
• High “get it” factor in best practices in reaching students and resourcing families.
• Well-developed philosophy and practice of the spiritual formation of students.
• High emotional intelligence and social skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in understanding, teaching and application of Scripture.

• A Bachelor’s degree in the area of Bible, education, or calling compatible with this position.

• A track record in building teams and growing ministry.
• Candidates must have experience at a larger church in Next Gen ministry.
• The right candidate will envision this as a long-term assignment.

• Live out godly character found in 1 Timothy 3:1-13.
• Champion the mission, vision, and values of ZCC in the church and the community.
• Agreement with Zarephath Christian Church purposes and Statement of Faith.
• Would prefer someone from a theologically conservative and contemporary church that matches our DNA.
• Tithing 10% of their income and investing in special offerings to ZCC to support the mission of the church.
