Hours:

Monday - Friday | Full Time

Pay: $17 per hour

About Us:

Ledgewood is looking for a warm, dependable, and energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team. In our toddler classrooms, children learn through exploration, movement, and hands-on play. If you enjoy supporting growth, independence, and early learning, you will thrive in this role.

• Create and maintain a safe, caring, and developmentally supportive classroom environment for toddlers.
• Use The Learning Experience’s play-based curriculum to introduce language, early social skills, motor skills, and problem-solving.
• Encourage positive peer interactions and emotional development through gentle guidance and modeling.
• Communicate daily with families to share routines, progress, and learning moments.
• Work collaboratively with teaching teammates and center management to ensure classroom quality and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with daily care routines including snacks/meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, and rest.

• Minimum 6 months of experience working with children in a childcare, daycare, preschool, or similar setting (1 year preferred).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus (or willingness to pursue).
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practice
  .
• CPR/First Aid preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Meets New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.
