Youll lead hands-on, adventure-based programs-from outdoor challenges to environmental education and team-building experiences-that help young people grow confidence, connection, and real-world skills. All of this happens on a stunning campus near the Delaware Water Gap. If youre energetic, mission-driven, and excited to do work that truly matters this summer, this role is calling.
The Summer Experiential Education Facilitator is responsible for the safe and effective implementation of Princeton-Blairstown Centers (PBC) adventure-based experiential and environmental education curriculum at the Blairstown Campus. The Summer Experiential Education Facilitator utilizes a youth development model that actively engages participants and supports them in achieving individual and group goals, and helps students increase their social emotional learning (SEL), environmental education, and 21st Century skills.
Develop, facilitate, and debrief adventure based/experiential education curriculum including adventure course, low and high ropes course, hiking, canoeing/kayaking and swimming, and restoration programming designed to help students develop critical 21st Century skills. social- emotional skills such as communication, cooperation, problem solving, and teamwork.
Design a learning sequence using PBC curriculum, experiential learning sequences, and develop new program activities appropriate to the participant population.
Ensure the safety of all participants at all times.
Maintain a friendly, cooperative, and professional relationship with fellow staff, chaperones, and partner organization stakeholders.
Correctly teach outdoor adventure, environmental education, and related skills to participants as per PBC expectations and protocols.
Occasionally participate in off-site day trips, river expeditions, and hiking adventures.
Assist with program logistics and administrative duties.
Assist with housekeeping and facility upkeep.
***** $4,375 for the summer (paid bi-weekly) plus room and board, (valued at $425/week), plus training.
