Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking a caring and motivated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our preschool classrooms provide a structured, engaging, and play-based learning environment where children build confidence, independence, and school-readiness skills.

We’re looking for an experienced childcare educator who enjoys leading a classroom and helping preschoolers grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Lead a preschool classroom in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate way
• Implement The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum to support early literacy, math, social-emotional development, and creativity
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports learning through play and exploration
• Communicate daily with families regarding progress, activities, and milestones
• Partner with assistant teachers and leadership to maintain classroom quality
• Support daily routines including transitions, meals, rest time, and activities
• Ensure compliance with NJ DCF licensing requirements and center policies

• CDA (Child Development Associate) credential preferred
• At least 6 months of experience in a preschool or childcare classroom (1+ year preferred)
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
