Job Description

The Superintendent of Schools is entrusted with the oversight and direction of the districts educational programs, ensuring that all decisions align with the mission and values of the school board. This position requires a strategic vision to enhance academic performance while nurturing a positive and inclusive educational environment. The Superintendent acts as a bridge between the board, staff, and community to foster collaboration and shared goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of district-wide educational goals, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and the community to foster a supportive educational atmosphere.
• Provide clear instructional leadership and ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive school climate.
• Manage the districts budget, ensuring financial sustainability and alignment with strategic priorities.
• Strengthen community and family partnerships to promote transparency and trust.
• Work collaboratively with the Board to advance district priorities.

• Ten years of experience in educational administration (preferred)
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Experience with budget oversight and resource management
• New Jersey School Administrator certificate
• Proven track record of improving K-8 student academic achievement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of state and federal education laws and regulations
