Alexandria Township School District is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to join our school community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to support students academically, socially, and behaviorally and help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities may include:- Providing instructional and classroom support under the direction of a classroom teacher
- Working with individual students and small groups
- Assisting students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Supporting students through the school day, including during transitions, lunch, recess and other activities as needed
- Helping maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff
- High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of the Para Pro Assessment preferred
- Experience working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, dependability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Must meet all New Jersey requirements for school employment, including criminal history clearance
Effective: September 21, 2026 - June 30, 2027
Terms of Employment:- Salary Range: $33,793 - $49,606 (as per the negotiated agreement)
- Benefits:
Single health insurance coverage provided by the Board, with the option to buy up to dependent or family coverage at the employee's expense
