Preschool Extended Day Teacher

Join us as a Preschool Extended Day Teacher (7:30 am - 12:30 pm) at Acelero Learning.

• Serve as an Extended Day Teacher for Head Start and/or Early Head Start centers.
• Collaborate with the Teacher to ensure successful classroom operation following the Head Start/Early Head Start schedule.
• Work with a team of teachers and family members to implement curriculum and achieve developmental outcomes for children of all abilities.
• Be evaluated on skills, dispositions, and behaviors relevant to this role and general expectations for all employees.

• Ongoing Monitoring and Self-assessment
• Plan and implement learning experiences to promote children’s intellectual and physical development, including literacy, language, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment.
• Support social and emotional development.
• Encourage family involvement and strengthen relationships between children and their families.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift a child weighing 40 pounds, 20 times a day if needed.
• Basic computer skills: email, word processing, internet navigation.

• Hours:
  
  7:30 am to 12:30 pm.
• Hourly pay: $16.35 (non-bilingual), $16.80 (bilingual).

  200 Route 35, Neptune City, NJ 07753.

• Two valid IDs, two reference letters, physical exams, TB tests, fingerprint screening, background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Mandatory New Employee Orientation: four days (Tuesday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm) at South Amboy Center, upon completion of pre-hire documents.
