Pay: $17-$18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Full-Time, Monday-Friday
The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Toddler Lead Teacher who loves helping young children discover their independence, develop new skills, and build confidence.
Our Toddler Lead Teachers do more than supervise a classroom. They create engaging learning experiences, guide children's social-emotional development, and establish a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn.

Key Responsibilities- Lead daily Toddler classroom activities and routines
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create engaging experiences through sensory play, art, music, movement, language, and hands-on exploration
- Encourage independence, communication, and positive social interactions
- Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and classroom transitions
- Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
- Observe and document children's developmental milestones and progress
- Guide, mentor, and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education experience required
- Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
- Previous Lead Teacher experience preferred
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials preferred
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Patient, dependable, energetic, and confident leading a classroom
- Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
- $17-$18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Full-time Monday-Friday schedule
