Wobbler Team Teacher, PM Teacher​/PreK Teaching

Job Description

A few positions available:

-PM part time (3PM-6PM)

-Wobbler (12-18 months) Team Teacher, about 32 hours per week

-PreK Maternity Leave coverage, 32-40 hours per week

General description below:

· Prepare/Implement developmentally appropriate projects and academic activities for assigned classroom

· File classroom papers properly

o Accident reports

o Activity sheets

o Feeding schedules

o “FYI’s”

o Tattlers

· Collaborate with team teachers to ensure an organized and prepared environment

· Prepare learning centers of guided activities based on the age group you are with

· Converse with Directors about concerns, needed supplies, recommendations and requests

· Communicate effectively and positively with parents

· Work collaboratively with fellow teachers

· Implement the daily schedule

· Create name tags and labels

· Make sure transitions are smooth for parents and children

· Assist Lead and Head teachers

o Prepare projects and collect supplies

o Decorate classrooms

o Keep classrooms, storage areas and bathrooms clean and tidy

· Present a positive image of Free to be Me

· Familiarize yourself with Free to be Me policies and procedures

· Be helpful with parents and staff

· If ratio allows, complete school cleaning/closing list (located on front desk)

· Be aware of head counts

· Always supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children

· Be involved and interactive with children throughout their day

· Collaborate and communicate with other staff members

· Supervise children indoors and outdoors

· Close down classroom at end of day
