The Sr. Electronics Adhesives Applications Engineer position is a lab and customer-facing role focused on supporting the electronics industry with adhesive and encapsulant solutions through technical expertise, experimentation, and direct client engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the sales team and with customers to identify customers’ adhesive function, reliability and process requirements, then recommend solutions.
- Conduct experiments to develop innovative adhesive processes. Present findings to industry, customers and Zymet product development teams.
- Provide on-site technical consultation and support globally.
- Explore innovative processing methods and contribute to product development.
- Represent Zymet at industry conferences and in trade publications.
- PhD in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering, with experience in the characterization and processing of adhesives to enhance the reliability of assemblies.
Or
- BS or MS in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering, with 5 years industry experience in the characterization and processing of adhesives to enhance the reliability of assemblies.
- Experience with fluid flow, polymer curing and polymer characterization.
- Experience with FEA modeling.
- Strong analytical, experimental design, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000
