Senior Structural Engineer
Join EXP, a globally connected, employee‑owned engineering firm, as a Senior Structural Engineer in our Building Structures team. You will design, mentor, and manage structural projects spanning mission‑critical facilities, aviation, and general building design across the United States and abroad.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design, drawing development, and construction administration for multiple concurrent projects.
- Guide and mentor junior staff, providing technical expertise and feedback.
- Execute quality assurance initiatives and perform quality control procedures.
- Generate calculations, sketches, drawings, specifications, and multidisciplinary coordination documents.
- Conduct site inspections and evaluate existing conditions via field visits and historical drawings.
- Coordinate work between EXP offices and external consultants.
- Travel to project sites as needed, typically a short‑term stay.
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred;
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis acceptable. - Minimum 12 years of experience focused on building design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (RAM, RISA, ETABS).
- Solid Revit modeling, navigation, and sheet creation skills.
- License as a Structural Engineer with required examinations (Structural I/II, Gravity/Lateral).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
The base pay range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000, with additional compensation based on skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
LocationPreferred locations include Chicago, St. Louis, Columbus, Atlanta, Dallas, and Bedminster, with flexibility for other sites nationwide.
