Wastewater Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead and support drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects across New Jersey. This role involves serving as a technical leader and/or project manager on municipal projects in water and wastewater treatment.

• Lead multi‑disciplinary project teams through study, planning, design, construction administration, and start‑up phases
• Produce engineering deliverables: calculations, equipment sizing/selection, technical specs, cost estimates, schedules, reports
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant standards and regulations
• Oversee project performance to meet budget, schedule, quality, and profitability goals
• Coordinate staffing and workload planning throughout project lifecycle
• Interface directly with clients; maintain clear, detailed communication with clients and internal teams
• Contribute to proposals, business development, and marketing as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or related Engineering discipline
• 10+ years of experience in municipal or industrial water/wastewater systems
• Licensed PE in NJ
• Deep technical background in water or wastewater treatment plant design
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and client management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD
