Job DescriptionOPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full-time Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing Manager to work in our Moorestown, NJ office. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic and tactical procurement initiatives for this global technology leader in high-speed mailroom automation, document imaging, and material handling.
Responsibilities- Manage supplier relationships with key EMS partners and cross-functional team interaction between OPEX and EMS providers. Work with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Process Design, and Production.
- Maximize efficiency of material flow between suppliers and OPEX facilities.
- Develop and implement centralized and local sourcing strategies.
- Perform supplier evaluations monitoring productivity, delivery, quality metrics, and conformance to requirements. Capture and monitor essential procurement KPI’s.
- Identify multiple sourcing opportunities.
- Use data to identify market trends, business strengths and weaknesses, and other key issues to support sourcing strategies.
- Perform cost analysis exercises including make vs. buy, total cost of ownership, lifecycle, and quote breakdowns.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years with strategic sourcing and managing suppliers.
- Experience in cost analysis and price breakdowns.
- Working experience with ERP systems. Familiarity with Oracle a plus.
- Requires excellent problem solving, communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment.
- Strong technical competency a plus. Ability to evaluate materials, specifications, data sheets, and engineering drawings.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
- Strong computer skills:
Intermediate level or better in MS Office applications. - Employee will primarily be working in an office environment.
- Sitting and standing for an extended period of time.
