To accelerate our success and growth within the European Market, Edmund Optics is looking for a Product Line Manager for Strategic Optics (PLM). The PLM is the product visionary, responsible for developing and executing a product strategy that aligns with our technological vision and core competencies. The role drives profitable growth through strategic product development, market expansion, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

• Define and develop overall vision and strategy for select products, supported by realistic ROI, marketing data, and corporate objectives.
• Develop new standard product lines, product families, and custom capabilities for specific product areas.
• Develop business cases, product and capability roadmaps, including forecasts, competitive landscape, pricing, target customers, applications, markets, and end‑of‑life strategies.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with global sales, business development, marketing, R&D, engineering, manufacturing and supply‑chain teams on product development and go‑to‑market strategy.
• Direct functional groups without direct reporting authority.
• Work with marketing to define marketing strategies across channels, geographies, and customer segments.
• Stay current with scientific literature, attend trade shows and conferences, and share insights with the team.
• Promote products internally and externally through trainings, trade shows, conferences, and seminars.
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers, partners, and customers.
• Recognize expertise needed for projects and assemble/lead subject‑matter expert teams.
• Qualify, screen, assist in hiring, manage and mentor Product Line Engineers and Applications Engineers while delegating responsibilities through the team.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics or related technical field and ≥2 years of experience in application engineering, manufacturing engineering, product line engineering or related optical product management.
• Strong optics product, manufacturing and technology knowledge.
• High level of personal initiative.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to work collaboratively across departments and demonstrate strong team spirit.
• Leadership skills and ability to motivate and train others.
• Capacity to manage a heavy workload of concurrent projects and priorities.
• Excellent problem‑solving and creative thinking capabilities.
• Comfortable with MS Office.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
