French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Engineer for our Structural Department in Wall, NJ.

Responsibilities
  • Lead structural analysis and design for building projects using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber materials.
  • Oversee preparation of design drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and coordination tasks to ensure successful delivery.
  • Review work performed by junior engineers and provide technical mentorship and quality oversight.
  • Perform advanced modeling and analysis using software such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, or SAP
    2000.
  • Conduct field observations, site inspections, and prepare detailed engineering reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, etc.).
  • Contribute to internal process improvements and support business development initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (preferred) or Civil Engineering with a structural concentration.
  • 5–8 years of professional experience in structural building design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or the ability to obtain within six months.
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP
    2000, RAM, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD for structural documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of building codes, materials, and construction practices.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $89,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
