Construction Site Coordinator – Utilities – Northwest PA

Boswell Engineering, one of the largest New Jersey‑based multi‑disciplined engineering firms, is seeking additional Construction Site Coordinators with electric utilities experience in the Erie, PA area.

• Oversee contractors working on electric transmission and distribution facilities at major electric utility sites.
• Manage construction of and modifications to below‑grade and above‑grade facilities, including work in electrical substations and overhead facilities in private and public right‑of‑way.
• Require experience working for an electric utility or as an electrician, lineman, or construction oversight.
• Experience performing construction inspection is highly preferred.
• Provide field oversight on contractor operations at utility client sites in the Northwest PA area.
• Perform highly electronic administrative work including tracking contractor labor and equipment, reviewing invoices and change orders, generating detailed daily reports, tracking inventory of materials, preparing and reviewing switching orders, and coordinating work.
• Work may involve up to 10‑12 hour days, 5‑6 days per week.
• Driving long distances may be required; a clear driving record and background check are mandatory.
• Use of FR clothing and PPE is required and provided.

• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 10+ years working at electric utility sites, including experience in electrical substations or electrical transmission and distribution construction oversight for major electric utilities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility with work hours; must be able to work long hours, nights, and weekends when necessary.
• Professional and effective communication skills.
• Technical writing ability and basic engineering math proficiency.
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and scope documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, e‑mail, and related computer programs.
• Ability to execute and pass all required training.
• Compliant background check, training, and current U.S. work eligibility (required by client).

Pay Range: USD $45.00 to $70.00 Per Hour (hourly exempt pay; varies by experience, education, certifications, skill level, geographic location, and other compensable factors).
