Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the food industry, is seeking a Product Development Scientist to join their team. As a Product Development Scientist, you will be part of the R&D Cooking Aids team supporting innovation, renovation, quality improvement, and cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent collaboration skills, and a passion for product development, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Product Development Scientist
Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ
Pay Range: $30 to $40 p/h W-2
Duration: 12 month contract
Responsibilities- Support R&D activities to deliver the brand’s program, including innovation, renovation, and quality improvements.
- Participate in technical discussions and represent R&D perspectives in cross-functional meetings.
- Conduct technical risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Translate culinary and operator insights into innovative product formulations and specifications.
- Bachelor s degree in Food Science or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in food product development, processing, or project management.
- Experience with SAP PLM/Minerva and specification creation processes.
- Knowledge of Cooking Aids technology and supply chain understanding.
- Strong formulation expertise and ability to lead new product design and renovations.
