- Direct day-to-day operations: staffing, scheduling, subcontractors, equipment, safety, and quality
- Serve as senior technical reviewer and, where licensed, engineer of record for geotechnical deliverables
- Recruit, develop, and retain staff; build bench strength and succession
- Coordinate with the New Jersey sector, Northeast Division, and national practice leads on shared resources, pricing, and cross-selling
- Represent Atlas in the regional market (industry associations, agency prequalifications, teaming)
You’ll thrive here if you have

- 12+ years in geotechnical / CMT / environmental consulting, including 5+ years of P&L or operations leadership

- Familiarity with environmental services (Phase I/II, LSRP program) sufficient to scope, price, and cross-sell
- Comfortable with project financial tools (Deltek or similar), proposals, and contracts
- Leads with presence and warmth - builds trust with clients and staff alike
- Decisive operator who can stabilize a sector and then grow it
- Collaborative across sectors; team-first mindset within Atlas
- Well-rounded industry understanding - sees geotech, CMT, and environmental as one offering
