Compensation: $60 - $75/hr, depending on experience & qualifications
Summary:
The Project Engineer / Manager will support the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of engineering, construction, and manufacturing improvement initiatives within an operating manufacturing facility. This position will lead capital projects from initial concept through commissioning and closeout, working closely with contractors, vendors, consultants, EHS, and cross-functional site stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Lead design reviews, safety and compliance assessments, and Management of Change (MOC) activities.
- Track project costs, forecasts, risks, and overall progress.
- Coordinate regulatory and compliance activities with the EHS team.
- Coordinate activities across cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, practices, and engineering standards.
- Lead project startup and closeout within established budget and schedule requirements, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or relevant technical certification.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience.
- Experience working with packaging lines or packaging-related capital projects.(preferably liquids or aerosols)
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
