Overview
As a Park Assistant Manager, you play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the park, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and efficient experience for visitors. You supervise staff, implement operational procedures, and maintain high standards of customer service. Park Assistant Managers are the liaison between guests and Kids Empire. You are responsible for guest satisfaction, resolving complaints, and addressing questions or comments from guests while present at Kids Empire.
Must interact with families and children of all ages.
- Attending to guests promptly, greeting them, and making them feel comfortable in the park ambiance.
- Supervising employees to ensure they perform their duties satisfactorily and meet production goals.
- Assist the Park Manager with training, development, and auditing.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment among park staff.
- Auditing schedules and requesting needed approvals from the Park Manager.
- Opening and closing the park using keys or a code.
- Communicating guest or employee issues to the Park Manager.
- Operating the check-in process by having guests sign the liability waiver and provide guest information (address, name, email, phone) via an iPad.
- Operating the front cash counter, handling transactions, and providing change as needed.
- Verifying billing transactions on the POS system.
- Organizing the refrigerator with drinks, snacks, chips, and ice cream.
- Checking snack inventory and replenishing stock by ordering from vendors.
- Walking the floor to monitor safety, ensure rule adherence, and address hazards.
- Cleaning restrooms and sanitizing all park structures such as tables, chairs, and playground equipment.
- Scheduling and coordinating family events and assisting events to operate efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Stand, walk, bend, and twist constantly.
- Frequent bilateral hand movements and good finger dexterity.
- Work in noisy environments with children and music.
- Handle a hectic and busy work environment during peak hours.
- Work in a tight space and be comfortable with heights.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Able to work with children and operate an iPad.
- Good communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Leadership and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment and prioritize guest satisfaction.
- Commitment to safety and emergency preparedness; ability to work independently.
- Read and write in English.
