Our client is a retail company. They seek a Director of Finance to join their Moonachie, NJ office.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the monthly financial close process across all companies, ensuring timely and accurate financial results and analysis of key P&L and balance sheet items
  • Establish and refine global accounting policies and procedures to align with current operations and support future business models
  • Manage daily banking activities, resolve discrepancies, maintain optimal cash levels, and make investment or borrowing decisions as needed
  • Coordinate the preparation and filing of all required regulatory filings and collaborate with external auditors for annual reports and corporate tax returns
  • Lead the development of financial forecasts and annual budgets, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing actionable insights
  • Analyze variances between forecasts and budgets, and deliver insights into operational efficiency and financial performance
  • Direct the preparation and delivery of recurring reports, including financial reporting, business reviews, and strategic plans
  • Support compliance with internal policies and reporting standards, and contribute to contract development and negotiations in partnership with the CFO and executive team
  • Foster collaborative cross-functional relationships to stay aligned with business activities, share best practices, and provide strategic financial guidance
  • Develop and mentor the Finance and Credit Collection Teams, and deliver financial training across departments
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Wholesale/retail/apparel industry required
  • ERP implementation experience required
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • CPA preferred
  • MS Business Central experience is a plus
