Sr. Accountant

Description A Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing an organization's financial health, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing critical insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for experienced accounting professionals who possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, advanced technical skills, and the ability to lead or mentor team members. Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), or other relevant accounting standards. Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations Analyze financial results and variances, providing summaries and recommendations to management. Accounting Operations:
Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and general ledger functions. Ensure proper documentation and management of financial transactions and records. Manage bank reconciliations and intercompany accounts. Compliance & Audit:
Ensure adherence to tax and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide financial data as required Process Improvement:
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend changes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to improve or implement ERP systems and automation tools. Mentorship & Leadership:
Provide guidance and training to entry level accountants or staff as needed. Act as a point of contact between the accounting team and upper levels of management. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant advanced certification preferred Advanced proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and reporting Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and technical accounting principles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
