The radiation therapists deliver radiation treatments to patients and perform CT simulation as ordered by the radiation oncologist to optimize the patient's treatment position in comfort and reproducibility.
Responsibilities- Deliver radiation treatment to patients according to the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription
- Perform CT simulation as ordered by the Radiation Oncologist to optimize the patient’s treatment position in comfort and reproducibility
- Utilize the hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems to record patient treatment delivery, document patient positioning information, and communicate any pertinent information regarding the patient’s care coordination
- The radiation therapist will ensure a positive and compassionate patient experience by providing support and education
- Perform daily morning QA on linear accelerators and CT simulator
- Participate in on-call procedure
- Schedule patients for simulation and treatment
- Perform daily billing for treatment and simulation
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas
- Mold Room Duties
- Demonstrate commitment to collaborative professional relationships with physicians and all members of the health care team

- Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy
- ARRTNJ STATE LICENSURE IN RADIATION THERAPY
