Laboratory Technician

This position is responsible for the day-to-day sample receipt, intake, and preparation in the chemistry department. This position requires high level multi-tasking, fine motor skills and the ability to maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks, such as accurate pipetting for long periods of time. The incumbent is trained on techniques such as sample intake, representative subsampling, moisture content analysis, water activity analysis and foreign materials screening.

The incumbent will be trained on methods under the chemistry department for flower, extract, and infused cannabis samples. They will follow all standard operating procedures to handle samples from receipt to disposal, prepare samples for analysis, and record all data into LIMS while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy. This individual may also be trained on preparation methods techniques for subsequent cannabinoid, terpene, pesticide, mycotoxin, residual solvent, and/or metal analysis.

REQUIRED

• HS Diploma
• Must undergo background check prior to hire
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

PREFERRED

• BS in Natural Sciences
• Experience with LIMS
• Laboratory experience
