    • Monday: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) provides high-level patient interaction and skilled specimen collection for diagnostic testing. This role involves phlebotomy, specimen processing, verification duties, and customer service
, all performed with accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality. The PSR II consistently demonstrates leadership behaviors and supports clinical operations across patient service centers, physician offices, and additional draw sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection
    , including venipuncture and capillary techniques.
  • Verify patient identification, demographics, and signatures to ensure accurate labeling.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional patient-service environment.
  • Complete required documentation, logs, and records accurately and efficiently.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting a high-volume workload.
  • Maintain flexibility for coverage needs including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Travel to multiple locations when needed; maintain reliable transportation.
  • Provide superior customer focus through open, transparent communication.
  • Maintain organizational commitment and uphold professional image standards.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, strong judgment, and decision‑making within procedural guidelines.
Required Experience
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience required
    , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Two years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
    • Required only in CA, NV, and WA (not required in NJ).
Required Skills
  • Excellent phlebotomy technique across diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to provide error‑free work in fast‑paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills and superior customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Sound judgment and decision‑making within established procedures.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to adapt to change and evolving workflows.
  • Experience supporting multiple PSC or in‑office locations.
