Registered Nurse - MICU

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in the MICU at Hackensack Meridian Health provides individualized patient care based on evidence-based practices and standards. This role is ideal for nurses who are dedicated to delivering high-quality care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

• Location: Neptune, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Department/Unit: MICU
• Schedule: Part-time, Days

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health and wellness.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary discharging of patients for safe transitions.

• Education:
  • Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required
  • BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program
  • Critical care nursing experience preferred

  • BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
  • ACLS preferred
  • CCRN preferred
