Home Health Aide – Brookdale Senior Living, Cape May Court House, NJ

Under the supervision of a professional nurse, provide direct care to residents in line with Brookdale’s philosophy and home‑health care standards.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and participation in meals and activities) according to each resident’s care plan.
• Encourage residents to perform as much independent care as possible.
• Document the delivery of care in the resident’s clinical record.
• Follow infection control and safety policies and guidelines.
• Implement resident care accurately, timely, and appropriately while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull‑cords.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers; uphold clear lines of authority and responsibility.
• Identify changes in resident status or needs and communicate them promptly to the supervising nurse.
• Participate in educational programs as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support resident care.

• Must hold a New Jersey Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aid license.
• Experience in a home‑health or assisted‑living environment is preferred.
• Availability for part‑time or full‑time evening shifts, including some weekend work if desired.
