Travel Echo Technologist​/Cardiac Sonographer - Echo​/Cardiac

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with Epic experience and ARDMS or CCI registration to perform cardiac ultrasound studies at a large Level 1 Trauma Hospital.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification (AHA only, ARC not accepted)
• Must be registered through ARDMS or CCI
• License required if applicable
• Active NJ license required (pending license not accepted)
• Experience working at a large Level 1 Trauma Hospital
• Full knowledge of cardiac ultrasound technology and digital ultrasound equipment usage
• Ability to prepare patients and explain procedures
• Ability to navigate electronic medical records

Responsibilities

• Work schedule is Monday-Friday with rotational weekends, 10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• On-call rotation required for weekends and holidays
• Performs cardiac ultrasound tests including stress echo and transesophageal echo studies
• Uses digital ultrasound equipment in accordance with American Society of Echocardiography and ICAEL standards
• Uses Epic EMR
• Completes daily scheduled tests within appropriate time frames based on patient population
• Prepares patients and explains procedures prior to testing
• COVID vaccination plus one booster required (religious exemptions accepted)
• Local candidates residing in NJ are accepted
