Join our team and discover why we are a top veteran employer and Certified Great Place to Work™ ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our Remote Monitoring and Logging System ( RMLS ) team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

RMLS is the FAA's logging system for recording maintenance work performed on facilities in the National Airspace System (NAS). RMLS provides a rich database of unstructured text; reading every log file. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to work independently, with minimal supervision, and in a team environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced Systems Administrator with hands-on experience in Windows/Linux administration and Active Directory.

This individual will need:
* Expertise in:
* Maintaining and improving all Windows and Linux application servers.
* Performing system wide analysis and functional allocations, business process modeling and re-engineering, internal operating systems, databases, and network architectures.
* Using prescribed methods and information furnished, develops draft inputs to program documentation as it relates to any of the support functions.
* Performs assignments on a broad range of tasks associated with the implementation of standards techniques, procedures, and criteria as they apply to technical tasks.
* Support hardware installations.
* Attend/lead meetings, design reviews, working groups and briefings. Citizenship/Permanent Residency Requirement All candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance.
* Be a US Citizen, have a US Green Card, or a Non-immigrant Work Authorization (VISA).
* Has resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years.
* The company is unable to sponsor candidates at this time. Relocation Requirement Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Education Requirement All Non-US Degrees must have a US Equivalency Certificate provided by the candidate.
* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor's degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and fifteen (15) years related work experience in a computer science or math field . OR
* Master's Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and twelve (12) years related work experience in a computer science or math field . OR
* PhD or Doctorial in a related field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and three (3) years related work experience in a computer science or math field . Required Skills
* Proficient in:
* Windows/Linux server administration; including installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.
* RHEL based kernels.
* Configuration and maintenance of IIS/Apache web servers.
* Active Directory configuration and maintenance.
* Shell scripting.
* Have strong attention to details and willing to take initiative.
* Ability to:
* Work independently, as well as on a team.
* Troubleshoot and isolate defects.
* Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication. Preferred Skills
* Prior FAA Test experience.
* Experience in:
* Hyper V administration.
* Network cabling.
* Python scripting.
