Junior Citrix Administrator

Role

Summary:

This role will solve complex and broad business problems with simple and straightforward solutions. Through code, cloud, and on-prem infrastructure, you will configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and their associated infrastructure to decompose and iteratively improve on existing solutions. Additionally, the role will continuously improve the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure service and provide Tier 3 level support for VDI infrastructure and VDI users.

A strong background in Citrix and/or other virtual desktop products is required.

• Experience in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.x + administration
• Experience with Citrix PVS administration
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Nodejs, Power Shell
• Experience in observability, such as white and black box monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and others
• Technical writing and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of customer organization
• Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools
• Experience with creating functional software and desktop images
• Experience with enterprise-wide software and desktop deployments
• Experience with providing technical support
• Experience with resolving system security issues
• Experience in Windows Server 2016 +, and Windows 10 + systems administration

• Continuous improvement and operational excellence mindset in building and integrating tools with usability, business value, and metrics in mind.
• Knowledge of Active Directory administration, including Group Policy Objects (GPO) management
• Knowledge of configuration and management of Client Blades and Nutanix hardware solutions
