Must Have 7+yrs experience. Must Have excellent knowledge in administering J2EE based application servers preferably Web Logic, MQ, JBoss and Tomcat.
Responsibilities & Qualifications- The primary function of the Application Administrator is to implement, maintain, monitor and support production and non-production application landscapes hosted in the datacenter.
- Configure and build middleware components including webserver and application servers.
- Implement customer projects in a timely manner.
- Administer and support customer n-tier applications.
- Proactively manage and maintain web servers & application servers.
- Alert customer with up to date security patch updates.
- Release maintenance and management.
- Adherence to change management process.
- 24x7 application availability support and incident management.
- Keep an up-to-date support document.
- Proactively identify and automate the routine tasks or hand over to operations.
- Disaster Recovery support.
- Capacity planning.
- Performance tuning.
- 7 plus years of IT experience with at least 5 years of working experience in supporting production application environment.
- Excellent team player with superb communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge in administering J2EE based application servers preferably Web Logic, MQ, JBoss and Tomcat.
- Strong Experience with web servers Sun One, Apache and IIS.
- Experience in Oracle Application Servers a plus.
- .NET platform familiarity.
- Strong Unix and Windows platform experience.
- Basic knowledge of networking.
- Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience required, Master Degree in an engineering discipline desired.
- Certification in IIS, Apache Web Logic is a plus.
