Network Engineer, Mid

As a network engineer on our team, you’ll help the US Army build and maintain a reliable network to support critical training missions. You’ll work with soldiers, other SMEs, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You’ll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use.

• Experience researching and recommending network and server hardware and software for large complex networks
• Experience implementing and managing network policies, procedures, and standards and enforcing security procedures
• Experience monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating hardware and software network problems
• Experience working with Active Directory, Group Policy, and VLAN Management
• Knowledge of installing, designing, configuring, and maintaining system hardware and software
• Ability to develop, maintain, and implement network support and archiving procedures
• Ability to meet with clients to plan, analyze, design, and test computer applications to ensure that computer software and applications adhere to the organizational plan
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 60 days of hire date

• Experience with VMWare and virtual machine technology
• Experience with the use and programming of CISCO switches
• Experience with STIG or SCAP Procedures
• Experience with ACAS Scan Requirements
• Experience with Vulnerability Management
• Experience with the set up, networking, troubleshooting, and use of Army Mission Command Information Systems

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
