MG+M The Law Firm has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney with the Design Professionals Practice Group in our New York or New Jersey offices.

MG+M is a nationally renowned litigation law firm, concentrating on complex civil matters, risk management, and trials, with expertise in toxic tort, complex product liability, construction and design professionals, general liability, and commercial litigation.

• Assist partners with active litigation caseloads from inception through trial.
• Interface with clients and insurance professionals.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
• Retain and work with expert witnesses.
• Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings.
• Research legal issues and prepare memoranda.
• Draft motions, oppositions, and argue at hearings.
• Assist with negotiating settlements and mediation.
• Evaluate liability and damages issues, prepare exposure evaluations.
• Support trial preparation.
• Maintain accurate, timely time records.

• 3+ years of experience representing clients in design professional and/or construction litigation.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in New York.
• Experience with written discovery and motion practice.
• Capable of independent work.
• Organized and efficient approach.
• Superior research and writing skills.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Analytical skills for complex matters.
