Paralegal II (Contract-to-Hire)
Law Firm | Essex County, NJ | Onsite | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
A law firm in Fairfield, NJ is seeking a Paralegal II for a 4–6 month contract-to-hire basis. This position is ideal for an experienced paralegal who can work independently and support legal operations with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Support attorneys with legal research and case preparation
- Prepare and manage legal documents and filings
- Access and work with municipal, town, and property-related records
- Assist with property tax appeal and real estate matters as needed
- Maintain case files and documentation
- 3–5 years of paralegal experience
- Strong understanding of legal practices and procedures
- Resourceful, self-directed, and able to navigate tasks independently
- Professional demeanor and communication skills
- Property tax appeal or real estate experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience working with town/municipal information a plus
- Base pay range: $31.00/hr – $36.00/hr
- 4–6 month contract-to-hire
