This is a hybrid role open to candidates located in Jersey City, NJ and the surrounding North Jersey area.

Our client is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney for its North Jersey team.

Location: Hybrid

Schedule:

-3 days a week in the Jersey City office initially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, reports, and other litigation documents
• Conduct and defend depositions, handle motion practice and court appearances
• Participate in arbitration and mediations, prepare matters for trial
• Handle automobile liability matters under New Jersey law
• Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, claims professionals, and corporate clients
• Conduct legal research, draft persuasive motions/briefs/memoranda

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• 3 - 8 years of insurance litigation matters
• Experience handling litigation, depositions, and motion
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience in NJ auto liability defense
• Experience representing insurance carriers or self-insured clients
• Experience in courtroom for trial, arbitration, or mediation
• Experience with premise liability
• Existing relationship with insurance carriers or claims professionals
