Material and Inventory Coordinator

Material and Inventory Coordinator Our client is a commercial service organization supporting large-scale mechanical and HVAC projects throughout the region. This role is responsible for keeping field technicians and project teams supplied with the materials, tools, and equipment they need to work efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys a combination of warehouse operations, inventory management, purchasing support, and logistics coordination. Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including organization, storage, housekeeping, and inventory control.
* Receive incoming shipments, verify materials, and maintain accurate receiving records.
* Coordinate outbound deliveries, returns, and jobsite shipments to support service and project teams.
* Pull, stage, and distribute parts, materials, tools, and equipment for technicians and project personnel.
* Maintain inventory accuracy through ongoing tracking, organization, and replenishment activities.
* Track company-owned tools and equipment to ensure availability and accountability.
* Assist with purchasing activities, vendor communication, order tracking, and follow-up on backorders.
* Support material planning and logistics coordination for service and project work.
* Work closely with field personnel, vendors, and office staff to ensure material needs are met.
* Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory control, and communication between departments. Requirements
* Ability to work a full-time onsite schedule in a warehouse and operations environment.
* 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, logistics, purchasing support, or related functions.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Experience managing multiple priorities while supporting internal customers.
* Comfortable using inventory, purchasing, or order-tracking software systems.
* Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
* Ability to perform hands-on warehouse work and safely handle materials and equipment.
* Ability to work effectively with technicians, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting HVAC, mechanical service, construction, industrial distribution, or related trades.
* Familiarity with parts inventory, tool tracking, and service-related logistics.
* Interest in growing into purchasing, logistics, operations, or project support leadership roles.
* Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
