The OpportunityWe are hiring a Director of Warehouse Operations to lead our Cranbury operation end to end. This role is for an experienced operator who loves running a warehouse well, enjoys developing people, and understands how daily execution connects to the broader business.
You will set and maintain high standards for accuracy, efficiency, and team culture. You will oversee inventory planning, production flow, labor forecasting, quality, vendor coordination, WMS usage, and operational KPIs. You will be on the floor daily, leading from the front, while also thinking strategically about how operations supports growth across ecommerce, corporate gifting, retail, and international channels.
What You Will Lead Daily Operations Leadership- Own all day to day warehouse activities including receiving, putaway, staging, production, picking, packing, and shipping
- Maintain strong on floor presence to support leads, solve problems early, and keep flow steady
- Create clear, practical workflows including picking routes, station setup, and movement of materials
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe operation that reflects the standards of a luxury brand
- Train, coach, and develop leads and team members across production, design, inventory, and fulfillment
- Strengthen performance management and accountability while maintaining a supportive, people first culture
- Build an environment where people feel valued, learn new skills, and understand how their work supports the business
- Ensure staffing, onboarding, and scheduling are structured for both steady state and seasonal peak periods
- Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counts, location control, and system compliance
- Partner with supply chain on purchasing needs, inbound timing, and material flow
- Build inventory plans tied to forecasts, production capacity, and sales patterns
- Improve visibility into shared components, substitutions, and BOM level requirements
- Develop labor plans using real productivity rates, throughput data, and seasonality
- Build Excel models that translate production needs into staffing requirements
- Plan ahead for peak periods with clear hiring cycles, training, and capacity planning
- Balance labor efficiency with quality, service level, and cost considerations
- Implement and enforce processes that reduce errors, improve throughput, and increase consistency
- Improve picking routes, production staging, and inventory movement
- Build KPI frameworks across accuracy, throughput, labor efficiency, damage rates, and inventory integrity
- Establish weekly and daily operating rhythms to review KPIs and drive accountability
- Support packaging improvements, inbound processes, and end to end supply chain optimization
- Manage relationships with floral suppliers, packaging vendors, contractors, and freight partners
- Ensure high performance, reliable quality, and strong coordination across all vendors
- Strengthen adoption and discipline around Fulfill and other WMS tools
- Identify system gaps and partner internally on system improvements or updates
- Translate marketing calendars, product launches, corporate gifting programs, and retail needs into operational plans
- Provide clear visibility to leadership around constraints, risks, and resource needs
- Partner with planning, supply chain, finance, and customer experience teams to align operations with company goals
- Support operational readiness for new channels including retail, wholesale, and international programs
- 7 to 12 years of warehouse or production operations leadership with real floor level experience
- Skilled at running high volume environments with strong attention to accuracy and discipline
- Experienced in inventory management, labor forecasting, planning, and workflow optimization
- Advanced Excel user with deep comfort translating operations into planning models
- Strong communicator who understands how warehouse operations support the broader business
- Leadership style that is steady, clear, empathetic, and consistent
