AKRF – High Bridge, NJ

• Participate in oversight of the overall team in NJ.
• Provide leadership to professional and technical staff on a range of projects that deliver high‑standard outcomes for AKRF clients.
• Work collaboratively to develop and introduce new ideas and innovations to deliver projects.
• Actively participate in regular client interactions, business development, and securing new projects.
• Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, agencies, and teaming partners.
• Support the development, implementation, and execution of a strategic business plan and budget for the department, including achievement of assigned metrics such as financial forecasts and client satisfaction; drive operational performance and capabilities to surpass client goals and recruit and onboard new staff.
• Manage local staff and assist with career development, hiring, staff retention, and workload planning.
• Lead or manage the design and production of plans, specifications, and deliverables for land development, utilities, stormwater, and other infrastructure projects.
• Oversee the QA/QC process prior to submission.
• Lead or support teams in the marketing and proposal phases of various land development and infrastructure projects.
• Motivate staff and colleagues to create a positive workplace culture; assume responsibility and act decisively; focus on finding solutions; mentor and provide helpful feedback to staff, even when corrective or disciplinary; recognize and foster talent; endeavor to collaborate across organizational lines to increase sharing of technical expertise, best practices, and resources.
• Use skills and strategies to successfully influence high‑impact, high‑risk, and complex situations.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
• 15+ years of experience.
• NJ PE required.
• Experience managing multiple projects and overseeing delivery of junior to mid‑level staff.
• Presentation at public hearings required.
• Experience delivering design projects within and around New Jersey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to manage both technical and financial elements of a project.

$145,000 to $175,000, commensurate with experience.
