Join the Injection Works team as a Quality Inspector!
We're looking for a detail-oriented, reliable individual to help us maintain top-quality production standards in our injection molding facility. You'll play a key role in ensuring that our parts and packaging meet company and customer requirements.
What You'll Do In the Lab- Verify first-shot approvals at job startup.
- Follow dimensional, visual, and color checks per SPC requirements.
- Perform incoming material inspections and use a Moisture Analyzer (QA-115).
- Keep lab and retains neat, organized, and clean.
- Assist with new Inspector/Packer training and quizzes.
- Train and observe Inspector/Packers to ensure proper inspection and packaging procedures.
- Visually inspect products for accuracy and quality.
- Check labeling, taping, and packaging to make sure it's neat and damage-free.
- Approve finished goods with a Quality Stamp of Approval.
- Verify scales are counting properly and record results per shift.
- Complete scheduled internal audits.
- Update work instructions as needed to reflect current procedures.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED required. - Experience:
At least 1 year in manufacturing or quality inspection. - Knowledge of injection molding or ASQ certification is a plus.
- Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.
- Regularly sit, talk, and hear; occasionally stand or walk.
- Lift up to 10 lbs frequently, up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Must have good color and depth perception for inspections.
