Maintenance Mechanic

TE Wire & Cable LLC (a Marmon | Berkshire Hathaway Company) is currently hiring an Auto Mechanic.

The purpose of this job is to perform repairs and maintenance on most machines and work areas within the plant, including extruders, molders, braiders, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanics and groundwork.

• Monitor, assign and respond to requests for machine and other repair work throughout the plant
• Organize work projects and assign appropriately to other mechanics
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and other types of repairs
• Assist with machine set up and adjust as needed
• Replace parts
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines
• Maintain parts inventory and stock supplies
• Clean machines as requested
• Operate forklift and other lift assist devices
• Coordinate repairs with outside vendors and reps
• Prepare machines for shipping for repairs and coordinate process with vendors
• Deliver and pick up supplies and parts to local vendors
• Maintain computer documentation of processes
• Work overtime and any shift as requested
• Support quality projects and company initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to use a variety of power and hand tools
• Computer and email skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at many levels within the organization
• Work effectively with other team members
• Follow all safety procedures and policies

Second Shift is 3:30 pm – 12:00 am (will train on first shift 7:30 am – 4:00 pm).
