In materials management, you will manage all US-selling products produced in the US, Canada, and Mexico. You will be responsible for direct raw and pack materials for your SKUs, run weekly material forecasts, set up replenishment strategies with vendors, and expedite materials when needed. Your role also includes covering production while keeping inventory low, mitigating material waste, and collaborating on commercialization projects such as graphics changes, formula changes, seasonal items, and productivity changes.
Responsibilities- Develop short‑ and long‑term materials planning for items produced internally and externally.
- Meet KPIs, including raw/pack inventory levels, schedule compliance (CTS), and yearly waste targets.
- Perform root‑cause analysis for continuous improvement of the plan.
- Maintain system data integrity for supply/materials planning.
- Partner with procurement for material optimization and with external vendors to develop coverage plans.
- Support and implement improvements to enhance customer fill rate, inventory targets, and waste reduction.
- Utilize cross‑functional teams—procurement operations, spend area leads, R&D—to resolve material issues quickly.
- Provide inventory scenarios based on excess inventory, shelf‑life expiration dates, forecast changes, and other relevant data.
- Drive productivity initiatives for your brands/categories and unlock RPW planning opportunities in line with CS&L deliverables.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as HPO/IL6S.
- Process and Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Experience in CSL/Planning.
- Analytical skills and experience with technology such as SAP, Excel, Tableau, Power BI.
- Experience in an FMCG/CPG environment, preferably food or fast‑moving industry with shelf‑life constraints.
- Experience in an IBP/S&OP environment.
- Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and focus on key priorities.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Team player who collaborates with multiple functions daily.
- A bachelor's degree.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP, S/4
HANA, or O9.
Travel requirements:
Less than 10%.
Work schedule:
Hybrid – office 3 days per week.
The base salary range for this position is $83,800 to $115,225, depending on experience, skills, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a highly competitive bonus program based on performance and company results.
