Role SummaryMaterial Handler – North Brunswick, NJ
Pay Range: $19.00/hr – $24.00/hr
Performs material handling, inventory control and other duties related to the production process.
Responsibilities- Move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility using hand trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Use a handheld scanner to track and locate all materials.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of assigned processes and equipment.
- Report process and equipment problems to upper management and/or the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping meet production quality and quantity standards.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Identify non-conforming goods and inform the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Utilize required systems, including HQMS, Sage 500 ERP/DSCS, and handheld scanners.
- Follow established safety protocols.
- Maintain a computerized inventory system accurately and promptly.
- Work effectively with all levels of employees and management; strong command of English.
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts, order pickers, walk‑ins, trans‑stackers, clamp trucks). Certification desirable.
- Read and interpret work orders for processing.
- Use simple math and basic hand‑held measuring tools.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; college a plus.
- Minimum 1 year factory‑related experience helpful.
Light to moderate physical effort. Ability to lift up to 40+ pounds.
