Job DetailsJob Details:
- 1. Developing and producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.
- 2. Maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.
- 3. Interpreting project blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters.
- 4. Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
- 5. Preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- 6. Preparing a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
- 7. Supervising the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
- 8. Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
- 9. Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
- 10. Maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
- 2. Extensive knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation.
- 3. Experience with particular CNC machinery including Lathe and Mill.
- 4. Proficiency in computer programming and CAD/CAM software.
- 5. Exceptional skill in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and production specifications.
- 6. Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders, etc.).
- 7. Knowledge of machining operations, tooling geometry, and machine tool capabilities.
- 8. Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- 9. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
- 10. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot as needed.
- 11. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
