- Contract to direct position for a Manufacturing Technician for 1st or 2nd shift assembly and testing of optical components.
- Meet production and quality requirements along with the manufacturing technician team.
- Responsible for optical fiber handling, fiber cleaving, fiber splicing, and optical power measurements.
- This is a great opportunity to learn a new profession.
- The position should lead to direct employment with the company within 6 months.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer Skills (Word / Excel).
- Basic math skills (a good understanding of fractions, decimals, etc.).
- Good hand eye coordination, able to handle small optical fibers.
- Ability to read work instructions and to write legibly.
- Prior assembly or manufacturing technician experience ideal but not required.
- This is a great opportunity to learn a new profession in fiber optics.
